One Direction star Harry Styles got in touch with 14-year-old schoolgirl Freya Lewis, who was seriously injured in the Manchester terror attack which happened after an Ariana Grande concert.
It was also reported that Lewis went to the concert with her friend Nell Jones, who was killed at the scene. Besides that, the Manchester Evening News noted that Lewis suffered multiple fractures, lacerations, and burns after being hit by flying shrapnel from the explosion.
The teen, who is currently receiving treatment at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, reportedly spent 10-and-a-half hours in surgery, and had undergone 2 operations, with more planned.
In a blog post, which was hosted by Lewis’ school (Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School and Sixth Form College) website, her family said that the 23-year-old British crooner had called her to tell her he loves her.
“Firstly, Freya came around enough from sedation to look at her Dad, blow him a kiss and smile. Then Dad cried. ‘What could surpass that?’ I know you are thinking,” they shared. “Secondly, the phone rang, and it was Harry Styles. Freya woke up, Harry said he loved her, she said she loved him, then Dad said he loved him!!”
Lastly, the post reads, “The PICU unit at Manchester Children’s Hospital has just been given a lift like you can not imagine! Harry, we salute you sir, Holmes Chapel is very proud of you!!!!”
Harry Styles will be embarking on a solo world tour starting 19th September. He will also be seen in Christopher Nolan upcoming war film, “Dunkirk”.
