Take a seat ladies and gents: Get ready for war because the beginning of the end for “Game Of Thrones” is here.
The new teaser trailer from HBO doesn’t reveal much, but it does hints on the upcoming conflicts between Jon Snow, Cersei, and Daenerys. But the clip’s final moments also reminds us that there’s something much more threatening lurking in the cold – The White Walkers.
Titled “Long Walk”, the teaser features the 3 key contenders of the Iron Throne – Jon Snow, Cersei Lannister, and Daenerys Targaryen – doing a lot of walking (which is good for their health) as they take to their respective thrones.
Jon is seen wearing a large fur coat fit for Hodor (may he rest in peace). We see him walking past the candlelit halls of Winterfell to take his rightful place as King of the North. On the other hand, there is Cersei – looking as murderous as ever – gliding towards the Iron Throne at King’s Landing after fire-bombing her way there.
But what has sent fans into a frenzy is watching Dany ascend on a throne that hasn’t been depicted in the popular HBO series before. Her throne appears to have been made from a large hunk of rock while the chair pattern resembles scales.
The internet seems to think that the mother of dragons is back in her ancestral home of Dragonstone. It would be a fitting location for Dany to base herself while plotting her strategy to take over Westeros. For those that don’t know, Dragonstone was previously occupied by villain Stannis Baratheon during his rebellion.
We know that winter has finally arrived when Cersei exhales some frosty breath. Amidst the battle for power, there’s another King in the mix. The Night King of the White Walker is about to unleash his army of demon ice-zombies in a quest for world domination.

A poem taken from read:
“When winter comes…
You’ll hear no lions roar…
No stags grazing the fields…
No roses growing in the meadows…
No snakes in the sand…
The krakens will freeze where they swim…
The flayed men will rot and wither…
No trouts swimming in the river and no falcons flying in the air…
Not even the dragon’s breath will warm you in your halls.
You shall hear only the wolves howl…
And then you will know. Winter has come.”
