Directed by Ryan Coogler (of “Creed” fame), the production of the upcoming “Black Panther” has moved to Busan, South Korea recently.

New set photos and videos show actor Chadwick Boseman, who plays T’Challa aka Black Panther, clad in full character costume, riding atop a blue sports car.

The action scene is believed to be a chase between the Kign of Wakanda and one of the film’s antagonists, Michael B. Jordan’s Erik Killmonger. Also, Screen Rant pointed out that the South Korea sequence could be connected to Ulysses Klaw, an international weapons dealer who first appeared in “Avengers: Age of Ultron”.

In an announcement that was released by Marvel Studios in February, it was learnt that the “Black Panther” action scene in Busan will include some of city’s famous landmarks such as Gwangalli beach, Gwangan Bridge, and the Jagalchi fish market.

“The shoot, which will involve some 150 cars and more than 700 people, is a car chase scene with the protagonist and the villain. It will also involve helicopter(s) and guns (firing blanks) and may cause noise as well as traffic restrictions,” local production service company Mr. Romance Film told Variety.

“Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after the events of “Captain America: Civil War”, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.

Slated for release on 16th February 2018, the film also stars Angela Bassett, Martin Freeman, Forest Whitaker, Andy Serkis, and Lupita Nyong’o.
