Disney’s classic animated films are famous for featuring plenty of feel-good and inspiring tunes. The live action remakes have managed to stay faithful to the original animations.

However, if director Niki Caro were to get her way, the live action adaptation of “Mulan” won’t feature any of the film’s original songs. In fact, the beloved animated classic won’t have any musical numbers at all.

In an interview with MovieFone, Caro broke the bad news saying, “From what I understand, no songs right now, much to the horror of my children“. And the world, Caro. You forgot about the rest of the world.

As for the direction of “Mulan”, the filmmaker assured that she won’t be taking away any of Mulan’s fighting spirit. “It’s a big, girly martial arts epic,” she told the publication. “It will be extremely muscular and thrilling and entertaining and moving.”

If you’re wondering how can there be a Disney “Mulan” film without 2 of it’s most popular songs – “Reflection” and “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” – included in it, you’re not alone. Does it justify the fact that it doesn’t fit the tone that Caro is looking for? Many would disagree.

Fans aren’t just shock and confused, they are livid. Naturally this didn’t sit well with a lot of people and they’ve taken to Twitter to vent their frustration. Check ’em out below:

Do you agree that it’s crazy for them to remake “Mulan” without its epic soundtrack?

“Mulan” is due out on 2nd November 2018.
