Heads up, K-Pop fans. We’ve got some bad news for you 🙁
On Monday (13th March), JYP Entertainment has announced that TWICE (트와이스) leader Jihyo (지효) and GOT7’s Jackson will be halting their promotional activities due to health reasons.
According to the entertainment company, Jihyo, who has been experiencing knee pain, went to the hospital for a detailed examination. The hospital then found something wrong with her knee.
In a statement, they said, “We are taking the necessary medical measures for Jihyo’s recovery. She will not be able to attend a few schedules. We ask fans to understand as the decision was putting her health top and foremost. We will do our best as a label to help her recovery quickly.”
On the other hand, Jackson has been showing signs of bad health since a fan meet on 11th March (Saturday). JYP added that the idol will not be participating in any activities until 19th March, even though GOT7 has just released their latest track, “Never Ever”, today.
“As we let you know in the previous announcement, the hospital diagnosis did not find anything wrong with him, but he will be resting and focusing on recovering. If there are extra schedule changes, we will let you know in a future announcement,” the label continued.
In other news, TWICE’s Mina was wrapped up in a dating rumour with GOT7’s BamBam earlier today. A photo, titled “BamBam Mina Dating Leaked Photo”, has been circulating on various Korean online community sites. But JYP has stepped up to deny the dating news, saying that it’s just “a candid photo”.
