If the girls from IOI swept you off your feet, you’d better brace yourself for the boys from the 2nd season of “Produce 101”.

The reality survival show is slated to make its premiere in April, and the male trainees have performed their theme song “Pick Me”, or better known as “Me, It’s Me (나야나)” in Korean, for the first time ever.

Hitmaker Ryan Jhun (who produced SHINee’s “View” and Taeyeon’s “I”) produced “Me, It’s Me”. The catchy track has been described as a “powerful dance track to portray the trainees’ manly charms and dance skills”. It is also predicted to be as sensational as the original “Pick Me”, which was loved by the public.

During “Produce 101″‘s first stage, a trainee from hip-hop label Brand New Music took the centre spot, which means that he’ll be receiving the most attention from the production crew throughout the show.

He won the #1 spot and was chosen as the “centre” due to his immense talent in various areas. An insider commented, “The Brand New Music trainee…also showed outstanding stage manner and became the center.”

Several familiar faces were also spotted in the “M! Countdown” performance. These include idols who have made their debuts such as NU’EST’s Ren, Baekho, Minhyun, JR, Topp Dogg’s A-Tom, HOTSHOT’s Kid Monster and Sungwoon, JJCC’s San Cheong and Yul, and more.

Season 2 will have the exact same concept as the first, with the viewers voting for the contestants they like the most. The debut concept, song, and group name of “Produce 101” members will also be decided by the public.

The main difference is that season 2 will feature male trainees, while the first featured female trainees.

“Produce 101” season 2 will be hosted by BoA, with SG Wannabe’s Lee Suk Hoon, former After School member Kahi, and former BEAST member Jang Hyunseung joining as trainers.

Mnet’s “Produce 101” will air its first episode on 7th April 11pm KST (10pm Malaysian time). It will take over the time slot for “High School Rapper”.
