Ed Sheeran is currently in a committed relationship with his high school sweetheart, Cherry Seaborn. But did you know that he once had sex with someone from Taylor Swift’s famous squad?

Sheeran and Swift may have a strictly-platonic friendship, but who knew that being mates with the “Shake It Off” songstress has some surprise benefits. In a revealing new interview, Sheeran admitted that hooking up with one of Swift’s female pals wasn’t hard at all.

Back in 2013, the British singer-songwriter was invited to join Swift as the opening act for the North American “Red Tour”. It was during that period when he was introduced to the pop star’s inner circle which includes supermodels, actresses, and reality stars such as Lorde, Selena Gomez, Kendall Jenner, Karlie Kloss, Hailee Steinfeld, Gigi Hadid, and Cara Delevingne.

Although he didn’t reveal exactly who the person was, he told Rolling Stone, “Taylor’s world is celebrity. I was this 22-year-old awkward British kid going on tour with the biggest artist in America, who has all these famous mates. It was very easy … I would often find myself in situations just kind of waking up and looking over and being like, ‘How the f**k did that happen?’

Sheeran has made no secret that some of his songs have been inspired by his previous hook ups. It’s been widely speculated that the breakup track “Don’t” from 2014’s “X” was about his former flame, Ellie Goulding.

“Don’t” was about a fling with a fellow pop star that ended shortly after he discovered that she had sex with a mutual friend who was staying on the same hotel floor. Word on the street has it that Goulding’s hit single, “On My Mind”, was a jab back at Sheeran, with lyrics like, “You wanted my heart, but I just liked your tattoos“.

However, both Sheeran and Goudling have denied being in relationship and maintain that they’re still friends.
