Will Rey finally become a Jedi? That’s the question a lot of fans are hoping “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” will answer.
We already know that the young hero is a Force user, and it’s been hinted that she’ll be trained under Luke Skywalker on the planet of Ahch-To. Details are still kept under wraps, but a new promo art may provide some clues.
In conjunction with Force Friday (an event where “Star Wars” merchandise are released to the public), Lucasfilm and Disney have unveiled an image that gives us our first look at the film’s 3 main characters – Rey (played by Daisy Ridley), Finn (played by John Boyega), and Poe Dameron (played by Oscar Isaac).
As you can see, Finn is still wearing that jacket he inherited from Poe, but is now sporting a very Han Solo-esque look thanks to the lighter beige shirt underneath. Poe doesn’t look much different, and understandably so, since he’s in his signature uniform (black pilot helmet and an orange flight suit).
The most striking part of the image is Rey. Not only is she sporting a new hairstyle (with noticeably longer hair), but her lightsaber also looks familiar. If she is indeed holding Anakin’s lightsaber, that means Luke apparently didn’t want it back.

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” will be released in theatres on 15th December 2017.
