In conjunction with Valentine’s Day (14th February), SISTAR‘s Soyou (소유) and EXO‘s Baekhyun (백현) have released a ballad together, titled “Rain” (비가 와), through Starship Entertainment’s sub-label, Starship X.
According to Soompi, “Rain” has successfully topped all 8 Korean music charts just hours after its release. In regards to the all-kill, Starship stated, “We believe that there is a good response because of the great chemistry between artistes Soyou and Baekhyun, who are loved by both the general public and their respective fans. Thank you very much.”
Produced by singer-songwriter team Phat Music, who has worked with idol groups like GFRIEND, “Rain” is a heartfelt ballad that sings about reminiscing one’s past love whenever rain falls. The highly anticipated track showcases Soyou’s one-of-a-kind husky voice and Baekhyun’s clear vocals.
The music video is fairly simple, mainly featuring a pretty, short-haired high school girl walking in the rain with an umbrella while listening to music.

Soyou and Baekhyun are not strangers to inter-label collaborations. The SISTAR member has released numerous chart-sweeping duets with Geeks, Junggigo, Henry, and more while Baekhyun’s duet with Suzy, titled “Dream”, received various awards last year.
