ARMYs, it might not be a “Spring Day” today but you’ve got BTS (Bangtan Boys) to cheer your Monday up.
After 4 months, the boys have finally made their comeback with the song “Spring Day (봄날)”, the title track to their repackaged album “WINGS: You Never Walk Alone”. The album was dropped at midnight tonight (Monday, 13th February) alongside the music video for “Spring Day”.
Aside from “Spring Day”, their 2nd album also records a total of 18 tracks, of which 14 are tracks from their previous album, “WINGS”. There are 4 new tracks, which are “Not Today”, “Outro: Wings”, and “A Supplementary Story: You Never Walk Alone”. “Not Today” has also been chosen as a follow-up track, and a music video will be released on 20th February.
Described as an alternative hip-hop song that combines the emotions from British rock and the sound from electronic music, “Spring Day” is composed by leader Rap Monster himself. The music video is also directed by Choi Yong Seok from Lumpens, who have worked with BTS for a few of their past music videos.
Their latest video is similar to their past videos, in that they contain ambiguous story lines and dreamy filters. “Spring Day”‘s music video feels extremely melancholic, as several shots show the members looking blankly into the distance while immersed in their own thoughts. However, the 5-minute video is not without its enjoyable times, as the members were also shown having fun together on a train and beach while enjoying each others’ company.

The track also hit an all-kill, meaning that it charted at #1 on all 8 of Korea’s main real-time charts simultaneously, including Mnet, Melon, Soribada, Naver, Daum, and more. BTS has also made it big internationally, as they’re now the 1st K-Pop group to make it to the Top 10 of the US iTunes Singles Chart.
