SS301 is back!
While the group made their long-awaited comeback just this February with “Eternal 5”, fans have been clamouring for another release. And now, their wishes have been granted, as the sub-unit has released the music video for their latest track “Remove”.
The track is included in their 3rd mini album, “Eternal 0” and “Eternal 1”, which is also made up of 5 other tracks, namely, “La La La”, “My You”, “Saxophone”, “Luv With U”, and “Universe (나의)”.
In speaking to the public during their comeback showcase, the trio also showed an interest in working with their SS501 member Kim Hyun Joong. The singer-cum-actor has taken an hiatus due to a scandal with his ex-girlfriend, who accused him of abusing her.
During the showcase, Kim Kyu Jong stated, “Honestly, we are born from SS501, so I have a desire to work with him. And I believe that the issues the public has with Kim Hyun Joong will resolve itself with time. Kim Hyun Joong is still in the army and is under a lot of stress, so we don’t want to burden him with a talk of working together, so we haven’t mentioned it yet.”
While we don’t know if a reunion could be possible in the future – considering that the public does not think highly of Kim Hyun Joong currently – we’re sure all that fans are going crazy at the possibility of it.
But it seems like the trio is doing well without the other 2 members, as they showed off a stellar performance in “Remove”. The track is a slow and mellow one, and successfully showcases the vocal capabilities of the members with their falsettos and ad-libs. Meanwhile, the 4-minute clip forsakes their usual dance moves to portray a more stripped down and vulnerable version of them.

The members of SS301, Heo Young Saeng, Kim Kyu Jong, and Kim Hyung Jun, debuted in 2005 with their main group SS501, which was also comprised of members Kim Hyun Joong and Park Jung Min. They generated many hit songs, most particularly “Because I’m Stupid”, “Love Like This”, and “U R Man”.
However, the group went on a temporary hiatus in 2010 to focus on their solo activities, and currently, Kim Hyun Joong and Park Jung Min are in the military.
