Starring Mike Colter as Luke Cage, a former convict with superhuman strength and “bullet proof” skin, the first season of the series focuses on Luke Cage’s life in Harlem as he lives in anonymity and attempts to evade his past. The show ended with Luke Cage going back to jail after the Seagate breakout while Claire Temple (played by Rosario Dawson) is seen holding a flyer for Colleen Wing’s defence class, which could lead to “Iron Fist” as Wing is one of Iron Fist’s friends.
No release date for “Luke Cage” has been confirmed yet, but fans are speculating that the highly-anticipated show will see a 2018 release as Netflix will be premiering “Iron Fist“, “The Punisher“, and “The Defenders” sometime in 2017. Not to mention the current development of “Jessica Jones” season 2 and “Daredevil” season 3.
