Yoon Mi Rae has been the go-to singer for the original soundtracks of many K-Dramas, including “Master’s Sun”, “It’s Okay, That’s Love”, and “Descendants Of The Sun”.
And now, she has added another hauntingly beautiful track to her name, “You Are My World (그대라는 세상)”, which is the OST for SBS’ latest drama, “The Legend Of The Blue Sea (푸른 바다의 전설)”.
The 20-episode drama is helmed by renowned writer Park Ji Eun (of “My Love from the Star” fame) and acclaimed director Jin Hyuk (“The Master’s Sun”, “City Hunter”) and tells the story of the world’s last mermaid and the man who saved her. In the present day, Lee Min Ho plays a genius conman and hilarity ensues when he crosses paths with Jun Ji Hyun’s mermaid character as she attempts to adjust to life on land.
The song serves as the main love theme for the lead characters and sings about “seeing the world in the person you love”. We don’t see Yoon Mi Rae in the music video, but it features several scenes from the drama and romantic sequences between the mermaid and the conman.
