Does that girl on NASDAQ billboard look familiar to you?
Yuna, who just turned 30 last Monday (14th November), has hit another milestone in her career this year. 7 years after moving to Los Angeles to further her music career, this Malaysian songstress found her face plastered on a massive bright billboard in one of the busiest city in the world – Times Square, New York.
The “Crush” singer tweeted the picture yesterday morning (Wednesday, 23rd November) to her 1.78 million followers on Twitter, proclaiming, “Your Kedah-born girl just went up on the @NASDAQ billboard in Times Square New York today.”
It’s a huge deal to see Yuna on the NASDAQ billboard because it’s arguably one of the most expensive ad estates in Times Square where billboard ads can fetch up to USD4 million per year! For those who don’t know, NASDAQ is an American stock exchange company. “Every month, the billboard will feature artistes to promote their music, so this month it’s my turn,” shared the singer-songwriter.
“Alhamdullilah, I believe this is my rezeki after the release of my album Chapters last May. I’ve been working hard in the US for five years now and so to see my face up on the NASDAQ billboard makes it all worthwhile,” Yuna told The New Straits Times.
Congratulations on your continued success Yuna! We’re so proud of you 😉
