Ever wondered how Chris Evans and Jenny Slate became a real life couple?
Before one of our favourite Hollywood couples walked the red carpet together, the duo were starring in a Marc Webb-directed family drama titled, “Gifted”.

In “Gifted”, which just dropped its 1st trailer yesterday (Tuesday, 1st November), we don’t see Captain America and Marcel the Shell sharing that many scenes together as we imagined, but we can tell that the chemistry and connection they shared on screen is real!
The adorable drama centres on Evan’s character, whose trying to do right by his deceased sister by providing her daughter with a normal childhood. The movie title may come across a tad generic but it, no doubt, has the potential to be a sweet, sappy movie. Bring a box of tissues too, because this film looks sad.

The official plot synopsis reads:
“Frank Adler (Chris Evans) is a single man raising a child prodigy – his spirited young niece Mary (Mckenna Grace) – in a coastal town in Florida. Frank’s plans for a normal school life for Mary are foiled when the 7-year-old’s mathematical abilities come to the attention of Frank’s formidable mother Evelyn (Lindsay Duncan) whose plans for her granddaughter threaten to separate Frank and Mary.
“Octavia Spencer plays Roberta, Frank and Mary’s landlady and best friend. Jenny Slate is Mary’s teacher, Bonnie, a young woman whose concern for her student develops into a connection with her uncle as well.”
