Commuters will be able to enjoy free rides on the Kelana Jaya LRT Line from 13th (Tuesday) to 15th September (Thursday).
The move was announced by Rapid KL on a press statement on their website, who explained that they decided to apologise to their customers following the frequent train breakdowns this week.
In a press conference held earlier today, Prasarana Group Managing Director Datuk Azmi Abdul Aziz also expressed that the company would like to show its appreciation to their customers.
He said:
“On behalf of RapidRail Sdn Bhd (RapidRail), we would like to offer our sincerest apologies over the incidents; this is our way of showing appreciation to our loyal commuters. We are indebted to all our customers and we want to provide the utmost comfort to our passengers.”
Kelana Jaya LRT Line Chief Operating Officer, Ismail Abdullah, also apologised, explaining that the unfortunate incident happened due to several glitches in the signalling and communication system between the Ampang Park and Dang Wangi stations. In order to access and attend the situation, they were forced to shut off the power to several stations.
