“Flexibility doesn’t always equate comfort. It is more complicated than that.”
For designer Dylan Raasch, the creation of the Roshe was all about sculpting and refinement, all with the goal of building a light, uncomplicated shoe. “The simpler i could make it, the more profound it would become,” Raasch said.
Today, Nike unveils Nike Roshe Two, the successor to the ever-popular Nike Roshe One, which championed an only-what’s-necessary philosophy that dissected a sneaker into its primary elements and then refined them.
Originally debuting in 2012, the Nike Roshe One epitomised simplicity i.e. basic shoe necessities brought to life with every detail. The streamlined Nike Roshe Two is a plusher update version of the original with even more comfort and soft feel.
As light and flexible as the original, the Nike Roshe Two combines 3 layers of cushioning with a soft, stretch upper for the perfect to go for all-day, everyday comfort. Here are its 3 key attributes:
1) Underfoot comfort: A combination of stability, support and cushioning, based upon research from the NSRL.
In the latest Nike Roshe Two, a dual-density memory foam in the insole is paired with a new innovative outsole that has been cored to improve flexibility and allow each waffle to move independently. Combining this with a new, tri-fusion IU midsole, it features three unique densities to deliver the targeted compression and durability that doesn’t pack out by the end of the day.
2) Upper comfort: A contoured, dynamic fit is also key
Nike Roshe Two features a minimal upper that forms to its wearer’s foot, while lofted groves add flexibility and a supplemental foam layer provides additional cushioning.
3) Long-lasting comfort: A responsive system
Feet swell and the in-shoe temperature rises as the hours accrue. The Nike Roshe Two provides stretch and breathability in the upper to counteract these realities, while providing suitable support underfoot.
Nike Roshe Two will launch on 1st September in Malaysia and it will be available in Pavilion, JD Sunway Pyramid, Bandar Utama, Gardens Mall, Crossover Midvalley, Lot 10, and Zalora.
