Even though we won’t get to see the charming God of Mischief in action in “Thor: Ragnarok” until next year, actor Tom Hiddleston has decided to give fans a sneak peak of his character.
Yesterday (9th August), the 35-year-old Brit joined Instagram (better late than never right?) to celebrate the return of Loki, Thor’s annoying nemesis and adopted brother. All dressed up in costume and his dark long hair wig, he flashed a “rock on” hand sign in the selfie, which he captioned, “He’s back!”
This snapshot is the first picture we’ve seen of Hiddleston on set. While this photo itself doesn’t really reveal much of anything (compared to Mark Ruffalo’s movie set pics which revealed Chris Hemsworth’s new hairdo as Thor), it’s always nice to see a popular character back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
“Thor: Ragnarok” will mark Hiddleston’s 4th appearance in the MCU, following his previous outing in “Thor”, “The Avengers”, and “Thor: The Dark World”. Although Loki’s role has been kept under wraps, it is understood that the trickster villain will once again cause trouble for Thor.
During a recent interview at Wizard World in Philadelphia, the handsome actor said, “What I’m interested in really is how his attitudes have changed. I’m 4 years older and Chris [Hemsworth] is 4 years older, and there will just be new things we find in it. The most exciting thing about him is that he is always a trickster. It is trying to find new ways for him to be mischievous, because I love doing that.”
Speaking of mischievous, Hiddleston did receive some sort of a welcome from his fellow Marvel co-star. Robert Downey Jr. took the opportunity to poke fun at his colleague in the best way possible. He reposted a blurry photo of Hiddleston wearing the now-infamous “I [heart] T.S.” tank top with the cheeky caption, “Join me in welcoming the biggest T. Stark fan of them all to Instagram! @twhiddleston.”

Yeah right RDJ… because T.S. totes stand for Tony Stark. Lol! Regardless, we’re still looking forward to see more “I <3 T.S.” t-shirts in the future.
“Thor: Ragnarok” will smash its way into theatres on 3rd November 2017.
