“Now who’s the villain, Flash? Now who’s the villain?”
It wasn’t too long ago that season 2 The CW’s “The Flash” ended with a major cliffhanger – Barry Allen (played by Grant Gustin) went back in time to save his mom and changed just about everything we knew about the series.

For fans who have been religiously following the series, it frustrated them no end, because the somewhat selfish move rebooted everything that The Flash worked so hard for. But now that the speedster has zipped back to his original universe, fans are eager to find out what they can expect from season 3.
Well, “The Flash” has revealed a first look at the upcoming season via its first footage, which was screened at the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC).

The trailer shows Barry dealing with the repercussions of his actions in the season 2 finale, with both of Barry’s parents alive but his relationships with the rest of the cast noticeably different.
In this new timeline is a very different Central City where Cisco (played by Carlos Valdes) owns Ramon Industries and is the richest man in America; Joe (played by Jesse L. Martin), who in the past 2 seasons doted on Barry, is seen brushing Barry off at the Central City Police Department; Iris (played by Candice Patton) has no idea whatsoever who Barry is; Wally West (played by Keiynan Lonsdale) is decked in full costume as Kid Flash; Eobard Thawne aka Reverse-Flash (played by Matt Letscher) is well and alive; and is that a Dr. Alchemy tease we see?
Note: Dr. Alchemy, a criminal also known as Mister Element, is a super-villain who suffers from multiple personality disorder where one side was a harmless citizen, the other personality was a dark criminal.

On top of debuting the “Flashpoint” timeline at SDCC, the producers also revealed that this reset will have its ripples throughout the whole universe. Executive producer Todd Helbing said that “Arrow” will see the most noticeable changes although he didn’t disclose what they are. Why take the fun out of finding that out for ourselves, eh? ;)
Meanwhile, season 3 of “The Flash” will also introduce new recruit Tom Felton (best known for his role as Draco Malfoy in the “Harry Potter” films) as Julian Dorn. Tom’s character a CSI at Central City Police Department who suspects there’s more to Barry Allen than his good-guy reputation.
