This is it guys, Marvel is about to go full steam ahead with their marketing campaign for their next movie instalment “Doctor Strange” featuring Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Vincent Strange, the man who would become the Sorcerer Supreme.
Ahead of the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con, 2 new images has unveiled – a brand new theatrical poster and a production concept art.
The new look features an intense looking Doctor Strange standing front and centre in the loft of his Sanctum Sanctorum, and according to Jay Jayson, the light at the background is “coming through the Window of the Worlds (also known as the Anomaly Rue or the Seal of the Vishanti)”. This magical window protects the building from invasions from the occult while keeping the public protected from the mystical artifacts contained within the building.
A production concept art by artist Ryan Meinerding was also recently released showcasing the mystic mage himself weaving a spell with his newfound powers.
When asked to compare this Marvel superhero to his other character Sherlock Holmes from the hit BBC TV series, he said, “The 2 men are intelligent. Finito. That’s it. Stephen Strange is a lover, he’s a materialist, he’s arrogant, but he’s got a great sense of humour. There are smatterings of the same colors that Sherlock has, but he’s not on the spectrum“.
Fans can probably expect a new trailer with more story and character details fairly soon. Stay tuned for more news on this highly-anticipated movie.
Marvel’s “Doctor Strange” will cast a spell on audiences when it hits theatres on 4th November 2016.
