Dating rumours have hit K-pop idols quite frequently these days, and CNBLUE’s Kang Minhyuk is the latest victim.
Earlier today (Monday, 11th July), Sports Seoul, a South Korea media outlet, reported that Minhyuk and actress Jung Hye Sung were allegedly in a relationship. However, FNC Entertainment, home to both celebrities, has slammed the rumours even before it gained traction.
The reports stated that Minhyuk and Hye Sung are FNC Entertainment’s 1st inter-company couple, citing photos of their cats and flower arrangements as “evidences”. Sports Seoul also cited an acquaintance of both artistes, who said, “They’ve been meeting seriously for some time now. They’re being careful, but their close friends and family know about their relationship.”
The entertainment powerhouse has denied the absurd rumour, stating that the 2 are only “just friends” that happened to have similar interests.
In a statement, they said:

After asking Minhyuk and Jung Hye Sung, we found out that they are not dating. They’re the same age and they are close friends.
Minhyuk and Hye Sung debuted in 2009, with the former breaking into the music scene with English album “Now or Never” with his band CNBLUE and the latter acting in the highly-acclaimed TV drama “Friend, Our Legend”.
Born in 1991, both of the stars are 25 years old and are currently active in the acting industry. The CNBLUE drummer was in SBS’s “Entertainer (딴따라)“, which concluded on 16th June, while the actress will be starring in “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds (구르미 그린 달빛)”, an upcoming TV series starring Park Bo Gum.
