2017 will be LEGO-tastic!
After the announcement of the “LEGO Batman Movie”, Warner Bros. Animation has confirmed the release date for“LEGO Ninjago”, a martial arts ninja-style adventure film. The movie is based on one of LEGO’s most popular lines, which itself has already spawned a TV series on Cartoon Network.

That’s not all. It was revealed that the production team has recruited kung-fu movie legend Jackie Chan to voice Master Wu, Dave Franco (From “Now You See Me 2”) to voice Lloyd, and Michael Peña to voice Kai (from “Ant Man”).
The film’s official synopsis is as follows:

“Ninjago is the story of 6 young ninja tasked with defending their island home, called Ninjago. By night, they’re gifted warriors, using their skill and awesome fleet of vehicles to fight villains and monsters. By day, they’re ordinary teens, struggling against their greatest enemy: high school.”

“The LEGO Ninjago” will be helmed by Charlie Bean (from “Dexter Laboratory” and “Tron: Uprising”) while Dan Hageman and Kevin Hageman aka the creators of “Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu” will be penning the script. Phil Lord and Chris Miller, directors of “The LEGO Movie”, will produce the film alongside Roy Lee and Dan Lin.
Slated for release on 22nd September 2017, “The LEGO Ninjago” also stars Abbi Jacobson as Nya, Fred Armisen as Cole, Kumail Ninjiani as Jay, and Zach Woods as Zane.
