Henry Cavill and Jason Momoa just made the wait for “Justice League Part 1” that much harder to bear!
Preparation has already begun, and the stars of “Justice League” aren’t wasting any time, each taking to their respective social media accounts to share their intense workout regiments to get in proper superhero shape for the upcoming massive ensemble. Regardless if you’re looking to battle villains, or intending to mix up your fitness routine, you can always take a page out of your favourite hero’s book thanks to these snaps.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” might have ended with Superman’s death, but even casual fans would know that the Man of Steel never stays dead for long. Remember when the final scene showed the dirt atop Superman’s casket start to levitate? This week, Superman himself (Cavill) reiterated that fact in his latest Facebook post.
In the picture, we see the actor completing his 1st week of training. “1st week of training done. 7 days, 9 workouts and a whole lot of food! #Superman #JusticeLeague #SupermanTraining,” he captioned. For anyone who believed that Superman was killed by Lex Luthor’s creature, Doomsday, this is proof to confirm his imminent return.
Also hitting the gym in preparation for his superhero role is Cavill’s “Justice League” co-star Jason Momoa, who will play the Atlantean King, Aquaman. Momoa shared a shirtless video of him working on his ripped muscles. However, it’s his brief caption with the tag “getting ready for the castle. Watchtower.” that has comic fans buzzing.

According to Movie Web, Watchtower was one of the Justice League headquarters, which was located on the moon in the original comics. The Watchtower has seen many incarnations over the years, including an outer-space emplacement (in “Batman Beyond”) and an underwater fortress (“Justice League Unlimited”).
But while we wait for more details to unfold as production gets underway, you can always stalk Cavill and Momoa’s Instagram accounts for some workout inspiration. It’s interesting to note that each actor seems to be taking a different approach in their training regime.
To quote John Casteele, Cavill’s Man of Steel would likely have all-over development, while Momoa’s Aquaman might have slightly sleeker lines (along with powerful arms and legs) due to a life underwater. However, next time can we propose to have Superman and Aquaman go head to head at the gym?
“Justice League Part 1” will debut in theatres on 17th November 2017.
