Get ready ELFs, because Yesung is preparing for world domination!
The Super Junior member will be debuting his 1st solo album. In just a couple of days, the mini-album titled “Here I Am” will be released both digitally and physically.
After a decade with Super Junior, Yesung has been dubbed as the “Prince of OST” due to his numerous successful soundtrack hits over the past couple of years. Aside from his music projects, the 31-year-old entertainer has also acted in dramas and musicals, hosted a couple of variety shows as well as becoming a DJ for radio broadcasts.
In November 2006, Yesung joined band members Kyuhyun and Ryeowook to form Super Junior’s first subgroup, Super Junior K.R.Y., a group that focuses on R&B ballads. While both Kyuhyun and Ryeowook have gone on to release solo materials, Yesung is now getting the chance to shine as a solo artiste.
In preparation for the release of “Here I Am”, SM Entertainment unveiled the 1st batch of image teasers for Yesung’s album, much to the excitement of fans. The photos show the singer posing charismatically and we get the hint that his new music will feature a more mature side of himself.
“Yesung has been showing diverse charms through musicals and the soundtracks of different works. His solo album is expected to receive a great deal of attention,” a SM Entertainment rep said in a statement.
Yesung’s long-awaited album is due out on 19th April 2016.
