Oh no! Fuel prices will see an increase for April effective today due to the continuous rise in crude oil prices.
Petron Petrol Dealers Association president Datuk Alang Zari Ishak confirmed RON95 and RON97 will go up by 10 sen to RM1.70 and RM2.05 per litre respectively, while the price of diesel and Euro 5 diesel will see an increase of 20 sen to RM1.55 and RM1.65 per litre respectively.
This is the first rise in petrol prices since December last year. In March, RON95 was retailed at RM1.60 per litre, RON97 at RM1.95 per litre. Regular diesel was priced at RM1.35 per litre, while Euro 5 diesel sold at RM1.45 per litre.
Since 1st December 2014, the Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Ministry established a managed float system. This took effect after the government decided to remove all fuel subsidies.
