Pump prices for fuel will drop further for March effective today. Retail prices for RON 95 and RON 97 petrol will drop while there will be no changes for diesel.
Petron Petrol Dealers Association president Datuk Alang Zari Ishak confirmed that RON95 would see a reduction of 15 sen to RM1.60 per litre, RON97 down by 10 sen to RM1.95 per litre, while the price of diesel remains at RM1.35 per litre.
Since December last year, petrol prices have been on a steady decline. In February, RON95 was priced at RM1.75 per litre (10 sen less from January), and RON97 at RM2.05 (less 20 sen).
The Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Ministry decided to set the prices of petrol and diesel on a managed float from 1st December 2014. This happened after the government decided to remove all fuel subsidies.
