Shane Black, the director of “Lethal Weapon”, “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang”, and “Iron Man 3”, is back with another dark-humoured buddy movie – “The Nice Guys”.
In his upcoming film, Shane pairs up Oscar-winning Russell Crowe and one of Hollywood’s biggest hunk, Ryan Gosling, as the main leads.
The movie takes place in 1977 Los Angeles, where hired thug Jackson Healy (Russell Crowe) and not-so-lucky private detective Holland March (Ryan Gosling) are forced to work together to solve a case of a missing girl, and the seemingly unrelated murder case of a porn star.
Of course as they dig deeper and deeper into the case, the pair will uncover a shocking conspiracy that may kill them both.
The trailer also indicates that the movie will be packed with violent content and sarcastic humour that includes shoot-outs, car crashes, and dead bodies. Check out the trailer to see it for yourself:
The Nice Guys also stars Kim Basinger, Matt Bomer, Margaret Qualley, and Ty Simpkins and will be released on the 20th May 2016.
