Who is excited for the return of our beloved heroes in a half-shell?
Our heroes from “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows” are gearing up to save New York City once again. To get fans excited for the upcoming movie, Paramount Pictures has unveiled 4 new character posters featuring Leonardo (the leader), Raphael (the hothead), Michelangelo (the party dude), and Donatello (the techie).
Each of the green fighting machines on the posters show them watching over New York with a romantic-looking sunset in the background, because well, they are literally stepping out of the shadows. As you can see, Leonardo (in a blue eye mask) and Raphael (in a red eye mask) are ready for some action.
As the head of the foursome, Leonardo exudes more of a protector look to him (think honour, dignity and strength), while Raphael – not known for his patience – has a more aggressive appearance in his posture. Standing near what looks to be the One World Trade Centre, his stance is a direct reflection of his defiant spirit and strong resolve.
In another poster, Donatello (in a purple eye mask) is seen hovering over the Brooklyn Bridge in his crouched position, carefully analysing the city. Out of all the turtles, Michelangelo aka Mickey (in a orange eye mask) is the only one who seems to be relaxed and chilling while enjoying the view.
To quote a TMNT fan, Mickey’s character is like Times Square: loud, colourful, and lively. The commercialisation in the scene also reflects Mickey’s personality. If you can spot the Orange Crush signboard in the poster, you’d know that the sugary drink is also Mickey’s favourite beverage; it’s also the same colour as his mask.
The synopsis of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows” is as follows:
“The Turtles come into conflict with T.C.R.I. scientist Dr. Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry), the Foot Clan, and the return of their enemy, The Shredder (Brian Tee), who has hired Stockman to create mutants of his own in the form of Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (Stephen ‘Sheamus’ Farrelly).
Meanwhile, an invasion above New York City is led by the Dimension X inhabitant known as Krang. The Turtles are joined in the fight by their human friends April O’Neil (Megan Fox), Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett) and the vigilante Casey Jones (Stephen Amell).”
Directed by David Green, the 4 actors who brought the turtles to life via motion-capture performances – Pete Ploszek (Leonardo), Noel Fisher (Michelangelo), Jeremy Howard (Donatello), and Alan Ritchson (Raphael) – will be back to reprise their respective roles.
So what do y’all think of these “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows” movie posters? We gotta say that these brand new posters deserve two thumbs up. The CGI look is pretty on point while each of these posters cleverly reflects each character’s personality.
Now where is that Megan Fox poster huh?
