Those born in the year of the Goat in the Chinese zodiac will be the luckiest people this year, which is the year of the Fire Monkey.

According to a local feng shui expert, the coming Chinese New Year which begins on 8th February, bodes well for people born in the year of the Goat, one of the 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac.

Feng shui consultant and founder of the Xuan Jixuan Feng Shui Consultation Centre Jane Hor said the year of the Monkey is the best time for these people to demonstrate their talents and advantages in terms of their careers, finance, or education.

“In the order of the 12 Chinese zodiac animals, the goat comes before the monkey and is seen as the closest to the monkey. They should not waste this opportunity, whether in their career or investments as there is a good chance of getting a salary increment or promotion, or profits in their businesses,” she added.

The Year of the Fire Monkey would also be good to people born in the year of the Rat, Ox and Pig, who should do well in business or investments, she said.

“This year they will find it easy to get help from their friends in their business. However, they should be careful in their speech as their frankness may upset other people and they would be ignored by their colleagues,” she said.

In the case of people born in the year of the Tiger, Dragon, Monkey, and Dog, this year would not be an exceptional one.

“Those who are employed will have to work harder this year as luck does not side with them. They should do more charity work and help the needy as this will have an effect on their lives in the year of the Fire Monkey,” she said.

People born in the year of the Rooster and the Rabbit will find it easy to get help from their friends or even strangers.

“For those born in the year of the Rooster, they may face some challenges in their careers, especially if they are in real estate and insurance, but this will only be temporary,” Hor said, adding that the situation for these people will improve in the second half of the year.

She added that people born in the year of the Snake would get to know more people, and if single, there was a chance they would meet their loved ones or marry this year.

“Like people born in the year of the Rat, Ox and Pig, those born in the year of the Snake are advised to be careful in their speech,” she said.
