It’s almost Christmas, which means the 2nd official trailer for “Deadpool” will make its debut online soon.
As part of the film’s “12 Days of Deadpool” promotional campaign, 20th Century Fox has offered fans another glimpse at its upcoming antihero film through a new IMAX teaser.
No new footage is shown in the IMAX teaser, but Ryan Reynolds in featured in it as his smart-ass Deadpool character.
As the fourth wall-breaking mercenary, Reynolds used his character’s favourite food to explain the difference between regular movie screens and IMAX screens. “Hi. Deadpool here with an important public service announcement,” said Reynolds’ Deadpool at the beginning of the teaser. “This is your brain,” he said while holding up a regular-sized deep-fried burrito. “Actually, it’s a chimichanga. But I’m making a point,” he added.
The frame then widened and showed Deadpool sitting on a couch in front of an oversized chimichanga covered in cheese and sour cream. “Because THIS is your brain on Imax. Bigger is better, right?” he explained.
Directed by Tim Miller, the R-rated movie is based on a script by “Zombieland” writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
