It’s a bird…it’s a plane…No, it’s a colourful array of hot air balloons 😉
Putrajaya’s skyline will soon be adorned once again by scores of colourful balloons because the annual Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta is set to charm the nation and elevate to greater heights in 2016!
Over 20 pilots from all across the globe are expected to participate in this year’s Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, including UK, Thailand, Spain, France, Netherlands, Belgium, USA, South Korea and of course, Malaysia.
The fiesta, now in its 8th year, will have plenty of exciting activities for visitors of all age groups to see and do. Fiesta organisers promise to keep everyone entertained with its melting pot of activities for adrenaline seekers, creatures of comforts, the young-at-heart as well as those who seek epicurean delights.
After all, the event aims to bring togetherness and excitement for the upcoming school holidays.
Night Glow, which is the highlight of every Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, will return and give visitors the opportunity to catch the glowing balloons up close with the beat of the music as they enjoy the spectacular fireworks display. Tickets for the event have been doubled this year to ensure more people can enjoy the stunning view at night.
Interactive workshops, colouring contests, and paper airplane competition will be held for the young ones while adults can participate in yoga and Zumba sessions, Extreme Zone sporting activities, and many more. Visitors will also be given the once in a lifetime opportunity to experience Putrajaya from a bird’s eye view by taking the helicopter rides.
MyBalloonClub was located exactly at Monumen Alaf Baru with a private entrance last year. This year around, members are offered the best seats in the house as the location is moved to the Blue Zone (Launching Field). Members will be given access to premium tethered rides and indulge in a gourmet buffet just metres away from the mass assension serenaded by live jazz performance.
