It looks like YG Entertainment has a surprise in store.
Fans are tearing their hair out over a number of mysterious pictures posted by 4 YG Entertainment artistes on their respective personal Instagram accounts. These artistes include 2NE1′s CL and Dara, as well as BIGBANG‘s Taeyang and G-Dragon, as well as their big boss man, Yang Hyun Suk.
None of the artistes have explained the meaning of these images, but fans think that they’re hinting at an upcoming comeback or collaboration.
Of course, if you have been following YG Entertainment closely, you’d know that the South Korean entertainment powerhouse has previously dropped a mysterious “Who’s Next” poster as well.
At first, fans speculated the poster refers to 2NE1’s long-awaited comeback because the date and the time include the number “21” on the poster. However, an insider has claimed that it referred to CL’s solo combeback.
According to the insider, CL has been preparing for her solo music for a while now. The said insider further stated that she has completed work on it and was preparing for her comeback stage.
As if that wasn’t enough to prove CL’s possible comeback, the report brought up what YG Entertainment’s CEO Yang Hyun Suk said about 2NE1’s future during a press conference he held after iKON‘s debut concert in Seoul.
During the press conference, the CEO was quoted as saying:
FIRSTLY, WE ARE FOCUSING ON CL, SO YOU CAN EXPECT GOOD NEWS SHORTLY. WE ARE GOING TO THINK OF 2NE1’S RETURN AFTER THE COMPLETION OF CL’S SOLO PROMOTIONS.
If what he said is true, we might see a strong comeback from CL because one AKP reader managed to solve the cryptic message left behind by the artistes:
So, do you think they’re hinting at CL’s solo comeback? Do you wish it would be 2NE1’s comeback instead? Share your thoughts in the comments box below.
