Dillon Francis is getting ready to “burn up” the dance floor this December in Malaysia!
Following the success of his debut album “Money Sucks, Friends Rule” and his latest EP “This Mixtape Is Fire”, the moombahton (a blend of house and Reggaeton music) and electro producer will bring forward his addictive party anthems with an exclusive intimate show on 5th December 2015 (Saturday) at Rootz Club, KL.
Francis first rose to fame after gaining the attention of American DJ/producer Diplo and eventually collaborating on “Que Que”, a hit song that featured Latin-pop artiste Maluca. Originally a 130 BPM house track, his moombahton track “Masta Blasta” further brought him international fame.
Since then, Francis has worked his way into EDM’s upper tier through a series of collaboration projects with EDM titans such as Skrillex and DJ Snake. He has also worked on a massive collection of remixes, further gaining a huge following among EDM fans for his unique moombahton sound.
The talented producer has been largely considered one of the pioneers of the Moombahton movement because he is the first moombahton artiste to reach the number one spot on the Beatport chart with the release of his EP, “Something, Something, Awesome”.
Having performed at many popular music festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival and Ultra Music Festival, Francis will be returning to our shores for a one-night-only show. This will mark his 2nd time in Malaysia since performing at Livescape’s NSFW’s “Fool’s Gold Special” in 2012.
Organised by Rootz Club and After Dark Agency (a subsidiary of The Livescape Group), the show is expected to attract close to 1,000 fans. Warming up for them are Naufal, I-Sky, and M.I.A.
