While 2/3 of South Korean pop group JYJ, Kim Jaejoong and Park Yoochun, are serving in the army, the remaining member Kim Junsu is quietly preparing for his upcoming solo album.
On 13th September (Sunday), JYJ’s talent agency C-JeS Entertainment announced that Junsu will be making a solo comeback with a new album this October.
The new album would mark his first comeback in 7 months as he made a comeback with his 3rd studio album, “Flower”, earlier in March this year.
Regarding his solo comeback, the agency said:
This is Junsu’s return in 7 months. The album will consist of a variety of songs, ranging from ballad to dance, that suit Junsu’s voice and the fall season.
The agency further added that he JYJ vocalist will “go on an Asia tour to meet his fans in the country and abroad”.
For those who are not in the know, Junsu made his debut as a solo singer back in 2010 with the release of Japanese single “Xiah”. However, he put his solo music career on hold due to a discord between him and his Japanese label Avex Trax, causing the sudden suspension of his activities in Japan.
Under C-JeS Entertainment, he released his first full-length Korean studio album “Tarantallegra” in 2012. The release of the album was followed by a world tour. In July 2013, he released his 2nd Korean solo studio album “Incredible” and it was dubbed “the ticket power” by South Korean media for sold-out concerts or musicals within minutes.
As for “Flower”, the album topped various music charts soon after it was released. The success of his albums makes him a singer not to be overlooked.
Details on Junsu’s new album are scarce, but the singer is currently working hard on it.
