Much hype has been surrounding Marvel‘s “Ant-Man” since it was announced that Paul Rudd will be playing Ant-Man/Scott Lang in the movie.
In anticipation of the film release, Marvel Studios has released a series of official stills, presenting the rest of the cast of the upcoming superhero movie. Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pena, David Dastmalchian, and Tip “T.I.” Harris were featured in the photos and they were portrayed in a laid-back manner.

The characters who appeared in the stills are Paxton, Pena, Kurt, and Dave. Cannavale will be taking up the role of Paxton, a friend of Lang who married Lang’s ex-wife Maggie while Pena will be acting as Luis, an ex-cellmate of Lang. Dastmalchian will be playing Kurt and T.I. will be playing Dave. However, no additional details on Dastmalchian and T.I.’s characters were revealed.
With the exception of Rudd, the other primary cast include Evangeline Lilly as Lang’s love interest Hope Van Dyne, Corey Stoll as main antagonist Yellowjacket/Darren Cross, and Michael Douglas as Lang’s mentor Dr. Hank Pym.

The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the 1st time with Marvel Studios’ “Ant-Man.” Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
On a side note, the official Twitter account for “Ant-Man” has released a new TV spot for the movie in conjunction with Father’s Day celebration.

Director Peyton Reed is helming the movie, with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige producing it. It is based on a screenplay written by Edgar Wright, Joe Cornish, Adam McKay, and Paul Rudd, according to a story by Wright and Cornish.
“Ant-Man” is slated for cinematic release on 16th July 2015.
