Believe it or not, only madness can survive in our post-apocalyptic future. Case in point, the new trailer for Warner Bros’ upcoming action film, “Mad Max: Fury Road”.

Directed, produced, and co-written by George Miller, “Mad Max: Fury Road” is the 4th instalment of the “Mad Max” franchise. “The Drop” actor Tom Hardy is starring in the film as “Mad” Max Rockatansky, a character originally played by Mel Gibson in 1979’s “Mad Max” and its subsequent sequels “Mad Max: The Road Warrior” (1981) and “Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome” (1985).

Mad Max May 2015

After offering us a first look at the film through a Comic Con trailer, Warner Bros further gave us a glimpse into Miller’s post-apocalyptic world through a brand new trailer on YouTube.

The world depicted in the film is a world filled with brutal warfare on the road. Humanity is broken as everyone fights for the necessities in life.

The official synopsis is as follows:

Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.

Charlize Theron will portray Furiosa while Hugh Keays-Byrne, who appeared as Toecutter in “Mad Max”, is set to portray Immortan Joe. The film also stars Nicholas Hoult, Nathan Jones, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
