Zoolander and Hansel, so hot right now. Zoolander and Hansel.
After almost 14 years of hiatus, the really, really, really, ridiculously good-looking fashion models, Derek Zoolander (played by Ben Stiller) and Hansel McDonald (played by Owen Wilson), are returning to the fashion runway via a sequel. However, the models decided that there’s no better way to announce the sequel’s release date than crashing Valentino’s show with their infamous walk-off challenge during Paris Fashion Week.
The actors took a break from filming the sequel to walk down the fashion runway and promote the movie. They made their triumphant entrance with the classical music before strutting down the runway with Human League’s “Don’t You Want Me”. After their brief appearance at the show, Paramount Pictures wasted no time to announce that the sequel is slated for release on 12th February 2016.

Directed and produced by Ben Stiller, “Zoolander” is a 2001 cult comedy film that has received strongly positive reviews from the movie critics. As the film revolves around a male model becoming a pawn in a plot to assassinate the Prime Minister of Malaysia, the film was never shown in Malaysian cinemas.
Of course, that didn’t stop Stiller from developing a sequel as he previously confirmed that the script for the sequel was already in the works since 2010.
Wilson stated in an episode of “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” that the film is most likely going to named “Twolander”, but Stiller did not respond to Wilson’s comment about the title. Instead, he briefly described the plot during an interview with Empire Online.
It’s 10 years later and most of it is set in Europe… it’s basically Derek and Hansel… though the last movie ended on a happy note a lot of things have happened in the meantime. Their lives have changed and they’re not really relevant anymore. It’s a new world for them. Will Ferrell is written into the script and he’s expressed interest in doing it. I think Mugatu is an integral part of the Zoolander story, so yes, he features in a big way.
The sequel is Stiller‘s directorial follow-up to ” “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty“ and it was reported that “Iron Man 2″ scribe Justin Theroux already written the script along with the director. “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” star Penelope Cruz has signed on to star for an unspecified role while Christine Taylor and Will Ferrell will return to reprise their respective roles.
The official photos were posted on Zoolander’s Facebook page while the full video that featured the Zoolander stars at the Valentino show is up on Paramount Pictures’ official YouTube channel.
Yes, we too noticed how Zoolander was totally rocking Le Tigre, Ferrari, Blue Steel, and Magnum at the show.
