To all nasi lemak fans out there, this to for you. Entrance is FREE and everyone is invited so tell your friends as well. This year, the “I Eat Nasi Lemak” heroes are divided into 5 categories which are:

You can definitely look forward to institutions like RA & Jalan 223 but also Nasi Lemak Sambal Ikan Keli from Lenggeng (Outstation), Nasi Lemak Kukus Goreng from PJ (Unique), Burung Puyuh Goreng with Nasi Lemak (Ayam Goreng Best), and even one entry for vegetarian and organic nasi lemak which made the judges final 20 list.
So, here are the top 5 things you should know about “I Eat Nasi Lemak” this year:
1. “I Eat Nasi Lemak” is more delicious this year
Check out some of I Eat Nasi Lemak highlights to look forward to. A picture is worth a thousand words so they’ve prepared some pictures for you.
Have a look:
2. Buy coupons & have fun eating
It’s the same as last year! All nasi lemak & drink transactions are via official “I Eat Nasi Lemak” coupons. You can buy these coupons at the coupon counter at the event or at selected “I Eat Nasi Lemak” hero locations. One Booklet is RM10 and contains 5 coupons. But here’s the fun bit – they’ve negotiated that all nasi lemak and lauk portions are tasting sizes. So theoretically, you can taste more than 10+ different nasi lemaks if you are really hungry and have bought enough coupons.
Current coupon locations include:
- Nasi Lemak Ujang
- Warung Rindu Pak Ya
- Nasi Lemak Kangkung FAM
- NL Suri Jalan 223
- Fauzey NL Kukus Goreng, PJ
With more to come! Alternatively, you can also call their office to reserve booklets (Meen at 03-77106809 during FriedChillies office hours).

If you’re going via LRT, its a 3-minute walk from the Kerinchi Station on the Kelana Jaya Line. If you’re driving, parking is FREE on Sunday at TMCC Parking if it is not full.
