Quick! Tell your friends! Animated GIFs are finally available on Twitter now!

Twitter made a surprise announcement today as the social media app now supports animated GIFs on their site as well as on iOS and Android. The feature allows all the Twitter users to share and view GIFs on Twitter, just like how we can view other video-sharing sites by clicking a play button on top of them.

However, Twitter has no intention of increasing the tweet limit yet. So for now, you still have to construct our tweets in 140 characters or less. But we really don’t mind updating our tweets in 140 characters or less either.

Now if you will excuse us, we would like to express our feelings about the new feature here with this very apt GIF:
