The yearly Bavarian festival which originated in Germany returns and Carlsberg Malaysia blows it up to a bigger scale this year!
Known as the most original Oktoberfest celebration in Malaysia, Carlsberg Malaysia Oktoberfest 2013 offers the brand’s beer as well as three imported beer brands, Erdinger, Franziskaner and Lowenbrau which will be served in collectible rugged-style stein Carlsberg Malaysia’s Oktoberfest mugs that customers can take home to add on to their collection of the past two years.
This year, a six person Oktoberfest Oom-Pa-Pah band from Germany will be flown in to belt out the traditional Oktoberfest jingles to the sounds of a twelve foot long alpine horn. The festival will also feature Carlsberg Dirndl girls donning traditional Bavarian outfits to perform the“chicken dance” along with Oktoberfest partygoers.
Staying true to Bavarian tradition, Carlsberg Malaysia Oktoberfest was commemorated with the tapping of the ceremonial keg by Managing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia Henrik Juel Andersen, together with the brewer’s subsidiary Luen Heng F&B Sdn Bhd General Manager Kenneth Soh, Vice President, Passenger Cars, Mercedes Benz Malaysia Mr. Kai Schlickum and Ms Joyce Yap, CEO, Retail of Pavilion KL.
Designed to bring people together, the month long festival will allow beer enthusiasts to enjoy an amazing Carlsberg Malaysia experience across eight selected locations nationwide before heading to an epic three-day Grand Finale party at the Old Wing outdoor car park of Carlsberg Malaysia’s Oktoberfest Venue Partner 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya from October 11th to 13th.
Beer drinkers can also stand a chance of winning free rounds of Carlsberg and attractive giveaways by taking part in Carlsberg Malaysia Oktoberfest Facebook activities which include Snap & Prost!, Shout Out Loud and Dirndl Girl Search.
