TGV Cinemas, Malaysia’s leading exhibitor and multiplex cinema chain operator thrilled cinema goers with a unique program called “End of the World” aka #EOTW. As part of TGV Cinemas’ mission to constantly entice the community with out of the box initiatives, #EOTW was a huge success gathering over 300 movie fans on 21st December 2012 (Friday).

Yup. 21st December 2012. The day/night the world was supposed to have ended. We know some of our contest winners were definitely there oh you know, just livin’ it up on a Friday night.

Taking place at the spanking new cinema in 1 Utama Shopping Center, the program also screened two blockbuster movies namely, “2012” and “The Day After Tomorrow”. Movie-goers took the once in a lifetime opportunity by participating in this double movie marathon taking place through the night. During this event, ecstatic participants counted down the final seconds of the night and marking their survival of the much hyped about #EOTW on the day of 21st December 2012.

The unique experience or having survived doomsday aka #EOTW coupled with a holistic cinema experience definitely gave moviegoers something to remember “the last day on Earth” by. And by that, we mean good memories, of course.
