A tongue-in-cheek take on Small Medium Enterprises, the sitcom will be MALAYSIA SME®’s first foray into television. It has the makings of a rib-tickling affair even as it looks to create awareness of the various stumbling-blocks encountered by entrepreneurs from all walks of life – whether it be a family staionary business, a tailoring shop, or a pastry café.
The quirky premise pays tribute to the gun-ho spirit and determination of those who decide to strike out on their own accord.
During the premiere of “Small Mission Enterprise (S.M.E)” held at GSC, Pavilion KL yesterday, director Douglas Lim credited the successful completion of the project to a strong story concept that never wavered from its quest to inject the technical know-hows of running a small business into light-hearted premise.
Malaysia’s homegrown talents such as Baki Zainal, Ash Nair, Alvin Wong, Ruzana Ibrahim, Abidah Noor, Indi Nadarajah, and Chelsia Ng are all part of “Small Mission Enterprise (S.M.E).
Alvin Wong (who plays Jose), who is no stranger to the Malaysian entertainment industry, told us that the team was given only two and a half weeks to complete the scripts for 13 episodes. Whoa! Impressive, much?

Every week, the sitcom unfolds different thematic plots that will present different dilemmas faced in business and possible solutions available for SMEs. The various weekly themes twine around the central theme of “comedy, friendship, and the never give up spirit“, a proven successful draw for audience of all ages.
