Just this week, Canon, a world leader in digital imaging announced their first digital single lens non-reflex camera, “EOS M”.
The all new EOS M introduces a revolutionary interchangeable lens camera in compact form factor. Yes, this means that the Canon EOS M model offers flexibility of an interchangeable-lens system while maintaining its “mini in size” without compromising quality. Hence, it is said to be the Canon’s biggest breakthrough yet – to be able to contain an EOS System in a compact, slim and lightweight body.

This means that the EOS M is by far the most accessible EOS camera providing the same level of photographic brilliance of a DLSR. It still bears all the hallmarks of the EOS heritage of ergonomic design and technological excellence. The EOS M is also constructed with the same high-tech components found in EOS DSLRs.
Oh, also, for the more experimental photographers, the EOS M can apply a series of fun “Creative Filters” such as Grainy/Black & White, Soft Focus, Toy Camera, Miniature, Art Bold, Water Painting, and Fish-eye filters.
Best of all, just as the EOS M is capable of taking great photos, it can also shoot amazing professional Full HD videos. We’re talking, shooting a video at a high ISO of 6400. Super sharp details in every frame? From this little thing? Believe it.
Goodness! We want a piece of that. Or rather, all of that!
The EOS M and its pricing information will be available from October 2012 onwards. It’s priced at a RRP of £769.99 according to UK’s PC Advisor, if that’s anything to go by. Just saying!
Meanwhile, stay tuned to Canon’s official website for more information.
