Previously titled, “Step Up 4Ever”, “Step Up: Revolution” is geared up to blow your mind away with dance moves in 3D. Unlike the first three installments that were produced by Touchstone Pictures and distributed by Walt Disney Studio Motion Pictures, this one’s the first to be produced and distributed by Summit Entertainment independently.
Starring Kathryn McCormick from the sixth season of “So You Think You Can Dance“, Step Up: Revolution will feature choreography by the talented Travis Wall (American dancer, dance instructor, and choreographer). Ace!
Kathryn’s character, Emily, is a daughter of a wealthy businessman who arrives in Miami with aspirations of becoming a professional dancer. She meets Sean (played by Ryan Guzman), the fine young man also leader of a dance crew in elaborate, cutting-edge flash mobs.
Sparks fly.
Sean’s crew, aptly named “MOB“, strives to win a contest for a major sponsorship opportunity but alas, it is none other than Emily’s father (played by Peter Gallagher) who threatens the neighbourhood with his development plans. Like it or not, he has every intention of turning MOB’s home around and displacing thousands of people.

And what’s a girl in love like Emily to do? Stick with Sean? Rush to Daddy’s side to offer support? Remain ignorant but risk losing the historic neighbourhood?
Or fight for their dreams and for a greater cause?:
