2 New Watch Drops From Panerai & Hodinkee x Zenith Are For The Gods!

Looking to up your style for an elaborate occasion? Then let’s get fancy in this B with these dazzling timepieces!

From a rugged submersible watch to a “new classic” timepiece that just fell from heaven, here are two dope wristwatches you gotta cop!

Panerai Navy Seal Submersible Watches

The luxury watch manufacturer Panerai has been broadening its submersible line-up for the past few months, but now it seems that the brand is doubling its efforts with the release of its new range of timepieces which honour the Navy SEALs.

The lineup consists of four references: Submersible Navy SEALs Titanio PAM01669, Submersible Chrono Navy SEALs Titanio PAM01521, Submersible QuarantaQuattro GMT Navy SEALs Carbotech™ PAM01513, and Submersible QuarantaQuattro Navy SEALs PAM01518.

Both PAM01518 and PAM01513 have 44mm case sizes; the former has a 30 ATM water resistance and is built of brushed AISI stainless steel, while the latter has a 50 ATM underwater resistance, a Carbotech™ case and bezel housing, and an additional GMT function.

On the other hand, the PAM01669 and PAM01521 have a significantly wider case, coming in at 47mm. With a Carbotech™ bezel and a brushed titanium case, the first model can withstand 30 ATM underwater pressure. The PAM01521 is equipped with a titanium DLC case and matching bezel, and has a water resistance of 50 ATM. It also boasts a number of technical features, such as a flyback chronograph, time to target, immersion time calculation, stop-seconds, seconds reset for accurate time setting, and the classic hour, minute, and central seconds indicators.

All four models have rubber and textile straps that are camouflaged in a desert pattern, drawing inspiration for their designs from the special force. The official “SEAL Trident” insignia of the Navy SEALs is engraved on every caseback of the watches to highlight their association with the force. All of the watches have gradient black to anthracite dials, and even though their mechanical movements differ, they all have three days’ worth of power reserve.

The new Navy SEALs capsule range is priced between US$10,200 – US$34,200 (~RM42,062 – ~RM141,032) and is currently available via Panerai as boutique exclusives or limited editions. Check out their official website for more details.

Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar Limited Edition

Once more, Zenith and Hodinkee are collaborating to add a cooperative touch to one of their well-known timepieces. As the duo’s third collaborative effort, they decided to give the Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar an all-new look.

Hodinkee describes the 38mm wristwatch as “a stunning juxtaposition between past and present, slow and fast, old and new.” It pays homage to a rare 1970 prototype El Primero and is encased in finely brushed and polished stainless steel.

From a distance, its dial appears classic and straightforward, but up close, it has amazing details. The subdials, which are made of meteorites and have a subtle glittering effect, contrast sharply but subtly with the black base.

This limited edition timepiece proudly displays its mechanical calibre on its open caseback, just like any other Zenith reference. The 3610 Manufacture calibre, the watch’s beating heart, powers all of its features, including the day, date, month, moon phase, and a chronograph that runs to the nearest tenth of a second. It can run continuously for 60 hours.

There are only 200 units of the Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar Limited Edition for Hodinkee, and each is priced at US$13,500 (~RM55,670). The Hodinkee Shop sells the first 75 numbered editions, and Zenith’s website allows you to purchase the remaining copies.
