Whether you love the tech, the style, or just the bragging rights, these are the ones worth checking out.
Oris x Bamford ProPilot Altimeter ‘Mission Control’
Oris has built a reputation for being adventurous and unexpected, but its latest creation truly takes things to new heights. The brand has partnered with George Bamford, the master of bold blacked-out designs, to launch the ProPilot Altimer ‘Mission Control’. This is not just another limited edition but a serious piece of watchmaking that blends technical expertise with Bamford’s fearless design approach.
The watch comes in a commanding 47mm carbon fibre composite case that feels surprisingly wearable thanks to its lightness. Its black dial is brought to life with bright yellow, lime and red accents, while the hands and indices glow with Super-LumiNova for easy legibility. The caseback is finished in grey PVD-plated titanium and includes a conversion chart from feet to metres, a nod to the watch’s star feature.
The Oris Caliber 793 powers the watch with 56 hours of reserve, a quick set date and stop seconds for precise timekeeping. Its standout feature is the mechanical altimeter that measures up to 19,700 feet, allowing wearers to check altitude and air pressure with dedicated indicators. With only 250 pieces produced, the ProPilot Altimeter ‘Mission Control’ is both a collector’s item and a statement of Oris’s bold creativity.
The Oris x Bamford ProPilot Altimeter ‘Mission Control’ is now available at Oris boutiques and authorized retailers, priced at CHF 6,700 (~RM 35,200) with only 250 pieces worldwide. Discover more on the official Oris website.
Chopard Alpine Eagle 41 SL Cadence 8HF
The Chopard Alpine Eagle 41 SL Cadence 8HF is no ordinary sports watch. Beating at an impressive 8Hz, or 57,600 vibrations per hour, it runs at double the speed of most mechanical watches. The result is a buttery-smooth sweep of the seconds hand and a constant reminder of Chopard’s mastery in high-frequency watchmaking, a feat few brands have dared to pursue.
Crafted from ceramised titanium, the watch is both incredibly light and highly scratch-resistant. Its dark bead-blasted case and dial give it a stealthy, modern character, while orange details on the seconds hand add a bold pop of contrast. At 41mm wide and just 9.75mm thick, it wears comfortably and feels refined on the wrist, making it as practical as it is technical.
The Chopard 01.14-C movement keeps the Alpine Eagle 41 SL Cadence 8HF running at a fast 8Hz while still offering a 60-hour power reserve. Its smooth, crisp rhythm sets it apart from regular watches, giving it a unique feel. Limited to 250 pieces, it blends modern materials with bold design, making it a rare and innovative timepiece.
The Chopard Alpine Eagle 41 SL Cadence 8HF is priced at USD 26,200 (~RM122,700) and is limited to just 250 pieces worldwide. Available now at Chopard boutiques and through the official Chopard website.
