Time to upgrade your wrist game—whether you’re into retro vibes or modern luxury.
Casio brings back Back to the Future vibes with a nostalgic calculator watch, while Cartier keeps it classy with two new versions of its iconic Santos de Cartier. These new watches show that style and function can go hand in hand.
Casio CA-500WEBF
Casio is taking us on a trip down memory lane with its latest timepiece, the CA-500WEBF, inspired by the legendary 1985 sci-fi classic. Released in celebration of the film’s 40th anniversary, this nostalgic collaboration merges Casio’s iconic calculator watch with the retro-futuristic flair of Marty McFly’s timeless adventure.
The CA-500WEBF captures the spirit of the movie right on your wrist. Its face design draws from the DeLorean Time Machine’s glowing taillights and the famous “OUTATIME” license plate, while its colourful buttons mimic the time circuits used to set Marty’s next destination. Flip it over and you’ll find the flux capacitor engraved on the case back, with the Back to the Future logo shining on the buckle for that finishing touch.
Even the packaging gets a nostalgic upgrade, arriving in a vintage videotape-style box that looks like something you’d dig out of your old VHS collection. It’s a watch that doesn’t just tell time—it tells a story, one that blends ‘80s charm with timeless cool.
The Casio CA-500WEBF will retail for RM665 and will be available soon at Casio stores and online.
Cartier Santos de Cartier
Cartier is revving things up with two fresh takes on its iconic Santos de Cartier—one crafted entirely in titanium, and another boasting a sleek black luminous dial. A century after the original was designed for aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, the watch still balances elegance and utility with that signature Cartier confidence.
The new Santos de Cartier Titanium embraces a bead-blasted matte finish, making it lighter, tougher, and subtly industrial. Meanwhile, the Black Dial Santos glows with Super-LumiNova detailing, lighting up its Roman numerals and sword-shaped hands against a layered dial that feels quietly futuristic. Both are powered by Cartier’s in-house 1847 MC movement, offering a 40-hour power reserve and seamless performance.
Sized at 39.8mm, both models retain the unmistakable square silhouette and exposed screws that define the Santos. This time, though, Cartier swaps polish for texture, and nostalgia for bold modernity — proving that even a century-old design can still surprise.
The Santos de Cartier Black Dial retails for USD $8,650 (~RM40,655) and is available now at Cartier boutiques nationwide, while the Titanium model (USD $11,500 ~RM54,050) will hit stores starting 1st November 2025.
