2 Luxurious Drops From Richard Mille & MING Are Epic Sophisticated & Super Snatched!

The year is picking up some steam – and awesome watch drops are coming in hard and fast!

Two new releases that have caught our eye are the epitome of superlative engineering, artistry, craftsmanship and precision. These timepiece magnum opuses sit at the top of the watchmaking world, and they are ready to rock yours!

Richard Mille RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat Watch

With the release of the RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat, a watch that blends technical sophistication with bold, minimalist aesthetics, Richard Mille continues to push the limits of its horological innovation.

The RM 16-02 reimagines Richard Mille’s signature style with a rectangular, monolithic design that embodies brutalist architecture. Its clean, geometric lines provide elegance, while the skeletonised CRMA9 in-house movement, crafted from grade 5 titanium, reveals the intricate engineering beneath its surface. The movement features meticulously chamfered apertures that maximise light flow, highlighting the artistry of its construction.

The extraflat movement, which is only 4.12 mm thick, features a free-sprung balance with variable inertia, which guarantees increased accuracy and dependability over time. Utilising a platinum rotor in conjunction with ceramic ball bearings and the OneWay winding system maximises the effectiveness of the automatic winding mechanism while preserving the watch’s thin design. The RM 16-02, which has a power reserve of roughly 50 hours, is both practical and fashionable.

The Richard Mille signature tripartite case is notable for its ergonomic comfort, 30-meter water resistance, and unmatched durability, which are made possible by grade 5 titanium spline screws and abrasion-resistant stainless steel washers. Inspired by Ariadne’s thread, its painstakingly crafted dial uses bold, architectural indices to indicate the hours while guiding the eye through the intricate labyrinth of the skeletonised movement.

We're Totally Floored By 2 Bougie Drops From Bell & Ross And Parmigiani Fleurier!

The Richard Mille RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat Watch is available now at Richard Mille boutiques around the world, with pricing information to be given upon request at said stores.

MING 37.09 Uni

Inspired by the renowned sea urchin delicacy, uni, MING has unveiled the 37.09 Uni, a new limited-edition dive watch.

With this latest creation, the watch brand continues to draw inspiration from its culinary heritage, building on the success of the 37.09 Bluefin, which won the Sports Watch Prize at GPHG 2024. The watch pays homage to the sea urchin by incorporating orange emission Super-LumiNova into its signature aesthetics, thereby introducing the MING reference.

The watch’s sturdy construction and striking colour scheme are also reminiscent of the sea urchin’s resilient traits. With an amazing 600-metre water resistance, the watch, which is housed in a 38mm DLC-coated case, also lives up to its aquatic namesake and inspiration.

With a power reserve of roughly 50 hours at full wind, the Sellita for MING SW300.M1 automatic movement, which beats at its core, guarantees the best performance and dependability. The watch is accompanied by a moulded FKM rubber band that is waterproof and secure to wear thanks to a DLC-coated flying blade tuck buckle.

Limited to only 150 pieces, the 37.09 Uni is available for purchase now via MING’s official website and retails for CHF5,250 (~RM25,631).
