For this week’s list of curated events, we’ve got not one, not two, but TWELVE fantastic happenings you’ll likely enjoy. After all, it’s April – and the beginnings of months are always kinda special.

From an orchestral concert to a petting zoo – you won’t be short of things to do in the Klang Valley this week!

Chinatown Cultural Walk

Take a leisurely two-hour stroll around Kuala Lumpur’s Chinatown, a historic district with a colourful history. Play tourist in your own city with seasoned tour guides who will share intriguing anecdotes about Chinatown’s history, the residents who still call it home today, and many of the people who are preserving traditional trades and crafts.

Look into post-war shophouses, conventional fare, fusion cuisine, and contemporary cafés, pubs, and restaurants. The Chinatown stroll is based on tips. The standard tip for the guides has been between RM40 and RM60 per passenger. Click here for more info.

Her paintings’ precise details and intense, unspoken intensity are manifestations of how easily her emotions transfer onto canvas.

Teresa Teng Tribute Concert 70th Anniversary

This concert will pay homage to the renowned singer through her classic hits. Teng recorded 1,700 songs and sold over 48 million albums. Her music has transcended borders, cultural and language barriers, and was recorded in various Chinese dialects, Japanese, Indonesian, Italian, and English, allowing her music to reach a global audience. In 1986, she was named ‘one of the greatest female singers in the world’ by Time magazine.

Among the songs that will be presented by the MPO and Jia are Goodbye My Love, So Sweet, The Story of a Small Town, Star, Thousands of Words, May All Be Well and The Moon Represents My Heart, notably Teng’s most celebrated song that has become iconic in Chinese culture.
