As usual, the well-known critic has started accumulating nominations from fans where shortlisted celebrities will be uploaded on the TCC Asia Instagram account. Just like last year, we’re focusing on local talents who made it on the list.
1. Joey Chua (蔡卓宜)
- 26 years old
- Born in Johor
- Singer
- Competed on China’s “Youth With You season 2” as a trainee
- Has 2 singles out titled “Oxygen Girl” and “My Litttle Baby”
2. Azora Chin (You Zhangjin, 尤长靖)
- 26 years old
- Born in Johor
- Singer
- Main vocalist of 9-member Chinese boy group Nine Percent (百分九少年)
- Debuted his first EP “Azoraland” last year and held his first solo concert in Beijing earlier in January this year.
3. Joyce Chu (四葉草)
- 23 years old
- Born in Johor
- Singer
- She was scouted by Namewee and joined his company label RED People in 2014.
- Joyce took part in the Chinese girl group competition show “Produce Camp 2020 (Chuang 2020)” and made it all the way to the final round.
4. Yumi Wong (黄诗棋)
- 31 years old
- Born in Kuala Lumpur
- Actress
- One of her earliest roles was in the 2014 film “Ah Beng: Mission Impossible”.
- She played the part of Geer Lee in the 2016 film “Girls’ Generation” and acted as Bei-bei’s mommy in the 2015 movie “The Tag-Along”.
- Her upcoming project is “Best Friend” (死党), where she portrays the supporting character Xu Zi Ling.
